St Ives Wins Small Independent School of the Year

St Ives School is currently flying high, as it also won these same awards as recently as 2019, was a finalist in 2020 and shortlisted in 2021, which is a fantastic achievement. Of this success, Graham Harvey-Browne, their Chair of the Board of Governors, said “To have been named Small Independent School of the Year once was a huge achievement. To have been named twice in the space of four years is phenomenal. Well done Kay and the rest of the team – your dedication and hard work is obvious to all of the Governors, but to have had it recognised by the judges from the Independent School of the Year awards is wonderful.”
Kay Goldsworthy, Headteacher of St Ives said: “We are thrilled to have received this award once again and are delighted with the glowing feedback we received from the judges. This accolade reflects the hard work and dedication of both our staff and the children, and our commitment to ensuring we provide our pupils with the very best educational experience there is to offer. Having won it for the first time in 2019, we didn’t dare believe that we’d win it again, but to have done so, is absolute testament to the strength of our pastoral care and our academic excellence”.
The awards ask to see evidence of success stories that feature both individuals and innovative practice, for a judging panel that is made up of heads, governors, parents and representatives of membership associations from across the sector and chaired by Dr Helen Wright, international education adviser and past Vice Chair of the ISC, supported by a panel of judges which includes leading Head Teachers and representatives of the professional associations.
