Year 5 Trip to Chichester Cathedral

Year 5 went to see the moon this week! We travelled down to Chichester Cathedral where the international 'Museum of the Moon' exhibit was on show. The children spent time observing and sketching the installation and will learn more about the accompanying composition in their music lessons this week as the organist was in practising - the children loved hearing & seeing him play!

A huge thank you to FOSI (The Friends of St Ives) for all the tools they bought for Forest School. Reception & Year 3 loved using the hammers and hand drills on fallen dead wood. Everyone had a great time learning new skills. Thank you FOSI!

Year 4 Science

The atmosphere was electric as Year 4’s budding scientists enjoyed learning through discovery this week. There was great excitement as they worked out for themselves how to design a simple series circuit to light up a bulb. They then had to figure out how to make the bulb brighter and duller by adding more batteries or more bulbs!
