Happy New Year and welcome to Spring Term 2021. As much as I was looking forward to welcoming the children back in person this week the government announcement meant that was not to be, I have however been truly inspired and heartened by the dedication and hard work of my teachers and support staff to ensure the virtual learning experience started with live Form Times this morning, with all our pupils in attendance! It is a true reflection of the 'can do' attitude of the St Ives community and will enable us to stay 'Together Whilst Apart' for the duration of this period.
Of course, the school is quieter than usual and I am missing the usual hustle and bustle of everyone, but I am so pleased we have been able to keep our Nursery open and to welcome our children of key worker parents. I shall enjoy hearing their laughter and chatter throughout the days ahead. I also look forward to seeing the rest of the children virtually, during my weekly quizzes, Year 6 lunches and other challenges I'll be setting. Here's to a great first half of term.
