Speech Day

We finished the year with a spectacular Speech Day this morning.  Thank you to our guest speaker, David Harkins, 8billionideas for his inspiring words which left us all feeling empowered that we have brilliant ideas inside us.  Best of luck to our Year 6 leavers.  We're so sad to see you go, but we know you're so ready for the opportunities waiting for you at your new schools.  Wishing our entire community a very happy Summer holidays!

Gathering of Goblins at Goodwood

An incredible day for Year 6 and their families at the Gathering of Goblins 2024 at Goodwood on Saturday, where the children were able to showcase and race the two fantastic cars they've been buildingand designing over this academic year.  In amongst over 30 other schools, the children had to arrive early in the morning for scrutineering of their cars, then had a briefing of the races before taking part in races such as slalom, drag and a lap of champions.  A fantastic demonstration of teamwork and problem solving amongst the children and so much fun.  A day they'll all cherish.  Thank you the Greenpower Trust and to Goodwood for this fabulous event.

Shrek the Musical

What a treat to have two nights of the most outstanding performances of Shrek!  The standard of acting, singing, dancing and comic timing was so high, it was hard to believe we were watching a prep school production!  Thank you so much to The Royal School for allowing us to borrow their wonderful theatre.  The children loved performing in such a professional environment.  Thank you so much also to Helen Maxwell, Katie Nicholls and Rachel Parker for producing such magic in our pupils and for the rest of the team for their support.  However, our biggest thanks, as ever, goes to our super children for working so hard in the run up to show nights and for giving it their absolute all exactly when it counted!  You are all super stars!

Nursery Sports Day

Well done to our Ducks in Nursery for doing so well in their Sports Day this week.  They have been practising in PE lessons for several weeks and were very excited to show what they could do.  Races included a 40m Sprint, Hurdles and classics such as the Bean Bag race, Bucket and Spade race and the Wheelbarrow Race.  We finished the morning with a team relay. With all of that hard work done, it was only right our Mummies and Daddies had a race as well as our young Ducklings.  All finished off with delicious strawberries and ice lollies.  Well done Ducks!  You were amazing!

Day 2 Performance Festival

Day two of our Performance Festival was all about fairy tales and story telling. The Prep children enjoyed learning all about characterisation from actor Jamie Golding, whilst Jamie taught Pre-Prep children about puppetry, helping them put together their own puppet shows.  The whole school came together in the afternoon to perform 'I'm a Believer' from the musical Shrek, which everyone really enjoyed.  What a brilliant school of stars!

Performance Festival

The children are currently enjoying a 3-day Performance Festival which kicked off today with a visit from West End performer Charlotte Scott (Guys & Dolls) who led a Dance Workshop for every year group.   Each workshop was perfect tailored for the children and they loved learning from Charlotte.
