Happy start of term to all our Nursery pupils.  We are so excited to see how much you’ve grown over the Summer and can’t wait to welcome all the new children.  The Ivies is a very happy place and we’re sure you’ll settle in quickly and easily.  We look forward to seeing pupils in the main school back on Wednesday.

Today is National Toasted Marshmallow Day!  We're practically experts in this field due to our amazing Forest School, which pupils enjoy every week.  So many of our Forest School sessions end with toasting marshmallows over an open fire - the epitome of sheer joy!

It's International Day of Friendship today!  Making friends & building relationships is such an important part of life here at St Ives.  Kindness & looking out for each other is part of our culture.  A day for valuing friends, even when they pull on your shoe so hard, you fall off a bench!

We're really excited about the start of the Olympics!  Last term, we held a three-day Olympic Festival where all areas of the curriculum were centred around the Olympic Games, from Maths, to Science to Humanities.  New Olympic sports were explored in PE lessons - Archery was definitely the most popular. We hope you all enjoy watching the games at home!

Today is World Chocolate Day!  It's probably no surprise that most of our pupils love chocolate.  Last term's Cookery Club participants especially enjoyed all the sessions that involved making anything chocolatey and many of their creations were eaten before their parents managed to see them!

Wishing all our pupils a very happy Summer!  Well done for everything you’ve achieved during a tricky year.  We couldn’t have done it without your energy, your positivity and your endless smiles. See you all in September!

We are thrilled to end the academic year with a shortlisting for Small School of the Year at the Independent School of the Year Awards for ‘transformative and innovative projects and programmes under Covid-related restrictions’.

Off they go for their leavers day out to Chessington World of Adventures.  Have fun!

It’s been ‘Move Up’ morning here at St Ives.  This is when all the children spend a morning with their new teachers in their new classrooms in preparation for September.  It’s always an exciting morning, especially for the new Reception 2021, which is a mixture of our Nursery children & new children.  They all had so much fun with Miss Tapp this morning!

It’s a wrap for this year! Well done to the fantastic cast of Peter Pan for working so hard and giving us such fabulous shows. Thanks too for the parents for helping with costumes, for coming to watch & donating to Great Ormond Stree Hospital. Thanks to Veronique Sampson for the wonderful photos and last, but definitely not least, to all the staff for making it happen!
