Appreciation Song for our Catering Team

Some of our Year 6 leavers wrote a song to thank our catering team for all the delicious, homemade food they’ve supplied them over the years.  They sang it as a surprise today and brought a tear to Chef Richard’s eyes.  How thoughtful & appreciative!

Pupils Vs Teachers Rounders Match

More sporting news - yesterday Year 6 took on the staff in a lunchtime Rounders match.  The Year 6s, who are a formidable team, were determined to win, making it two in a row, after their Sports Day victory.  Staff were slightly more relaxed in their approach, making some last-minute alterations to their team!  Staff put the Year 6s under pressure and kept their score low but we all knew the potential of the Year 6 fielders.  Experience paid off however with the final score being: Staff - 7.5, Year 6 - 4!

Mums vs Daughters Tennis Match

Yesterday some of the Y6 pupils took on their Mums in a friendly Tennis match at school. Playing 'socially distanced' games, the Mums looked strong from the start and took an early lead. The girls fought back (and perhaps 'bent' the rules slightly) to win some competitive matches. The final score was a 7-6 victory to the Mums. To finish, they played a 'round the world' challenge - Mums v Girls. It was a really fun afternoon.  Thank you Mums for coming in!
