Butser Hill Challenge

Congratulations to all girls who took part in the Butser Hill challenge on Sunday. After a chilly start to the morning, the sun appeared over the hill and conditions for the first race were perfect. Years 3-5 ran 1km and Y6 (who race against Y7) ran 2km.
The Y3 girls were itching to get started and didn't show any nerves. Flora, Holly and Sophia were up near the front and finished well with smiles on their faces. Well done to Holly who was the 2nd girl home and received a trophy!
The Y4's also seemed keen to get started. They too finished in the top half of their age group. This was Isabelle's first experience representing St Ives. I hope she enjoyed the morning with her new friends.
Y5's had a tough run with the pace really stepping up in this age group. A great achievement by all.
Finally our Cross Country Captain Livvy ran in the 2km Y6 and Y7 race. Again she ran so well and finished looking strong!
Congratulations all runners and thanks to Miss Smith and parents for their support
