Everyone enjoyed taking part in this interactive adventure.

They collected a range of colourful and pretty delights from the forest and created a collage with their treasures back in the classroom. They even spotted a deer!

Years 1 and 2 enjoyed their first morning of Forest School with a scavenger hunt in the top forest. What a great start to the year!

St Ives School’s swimming team excelled itself at the IAPS Swimming Finals at the London Aquatics Centre last weekend.  

A fantastic afternoon of tennis in our Mums Vs girls tennis tournament. Participants played doubles, Queen of the Court and Champion of Champions with the overall winners being the girls! Everyone had great fun.

The soggy weather couldn't dampen our spirits at our fantastic annual Summer Fair! Everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you so much to the Friends of St Ives (FOSI) for all their hard work, all the stall holders who came long and all the visitors who braved the weather.

Well done Year 6 on your wonderful stalls at Market Day. It's clear you put a huge amount of work into planning your stalls, from your products, presentation, merchandising, branding, promotion and customer service. Let's hope you've raised lots of money for your charities.

Hoorah for being allowed to wear pyjamas to school today to show support for Pyjamarama and raise money for the Booktrust to ensure every child has access to books and can enjoy stories as much as we do. A wonderful morning of story telling, book swapping and fund raising.

Swimming Captains Emily and Emma have qualified as individuals in the U11 50m and 25m Butterfly respectively.  This is an incredible achievement, with only the top twenty out of more than one hundred and fifty swimmers nationally, qualifying.  Our relay team has also qualified as one of the top small schools’ team, nationally.  The relay team is made up of Emma, Emily, Ella, Annabel, Poppy, Imogen, Livvy, Grace and Tamara.

In addition to this, our Year 6 swimmers recently qualified for the National Finals of the English Schools Swimming Association (ESSA) Primary Schools Relays to be held in Sheffield in June.  Having come third in the South East Regionals, and taking two seconds off their qualifying time, these girls rightly deserve their place in the finals. 

Kay Goldsworthy, Head Teacher, said “I am so proud of the whole team for working so hard.  This result is phenomenal.  We wish them all the best of luck for the finals in June”.
