110th Birthday Celebrations

To continue our 110th birthday celebrations, the children came to school in fancy dress today, taking various decades as their inspiration. Lessons all centred around the history, literature, music & dance from their decade. Suffice to say, everyone had a fantastic day! Happy birthday St Ives!

Year 2 Topic Work

A very fitting way of finishing off Year 2's topic, The Stuarts. Having designed & built their Stuart houses, the children enjoyed watching them burn down as they created their own Great Fire of London!

Anglo Saxon Day for Year 4

Year 4 spent today being Anglo Saxons. They learnt about their armour, made shields, enjoyed their crafts, learnt songs, re-enacted the story of Beowulf & learnt about attacks from the Vikings. It was a brilliant day & we're sure there will be some very tired Anglo Saxons tonight!

Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day to all our fab Mums for everything they do, especially after a Lockdown year. You've done a brilliant job at keeping the children happy, calm & learning & for making the transition back to school so seamless. Thank you!

Back to Sport!

We're rejoicing at being back at school & playing sport with our friends! So far this week the Prep School children have played Netball, indoor Cricket & enjoyed a Long Jump & Triple Jump Competition, whilst the Pre-Prep children have practised striking & fielding & have even attempted some mini-Rounders! Year 5 & 6 Athletics Clubs started again on Tuesday with Discus & Sprinting. It's great to be back!

Year 3 had great fun today dressing up for their Ancient Egypt workshop. Each child received a 'Tomb Explorer's Sack to help them search for the Mummy, unlock chamber doors and collect facts. Well done for your fantastic costumes Year 3!
