We are thrilled to be named Small Independent School of the Year 2022 at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards! Having won it for the first time in 2019, been a finalist in 2020 and shortlisted in 2021, we didn't dare believe we'd win it again... but we did!
The aim of the awards is to highlight the excellence of the student experience in independent schools. The judges were looking for stories of success which demonstrate how the schools have fostered excellence and enhanced their students’ ability to grow and develop in whichever aspect of school life the award recognises. They praised us for our ‘engaging entry, which highlighted the energy and buzz of St Ives’ and loved how we ensure the children’s wellbeing is at the heart of every decision we make.
Kay Goldsworthy said: “I am over the moon to announce we have been named ‘Small Independent School of the Year’ at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards once again! Having won it as recently as 2019, we didn’t dare believe we could win it again, but having done so, it proves our dedication to the wellbeing of our pupils and our commitment to putting the children at the centre of everything we do. .”
Of our success, Graham Harvey-Browne, our Chair of the Board of Governors, said “To have been named Small Independent School of the Year once was a huge achievement. To have been named twice in the space of four years is phenomenal. Well done Kay and the rest of the team – your dedication and hard work is obvious to all the Governors, but to have had it recognised by the judges from the Independent School of the Year awards is wonderful.”
