In June 2021 we were shortlisted for Small Independent School of the Year at the Independent School of the Year Awards.
The aim of the awards is to highlight the excellence of the student experience in independent schools. The judges were looking for stories of success which demonstrate how the schools applying for each award have fostered excellence and enhanced their students’ ability to grow and develop in whichever aspect of school life the award recognises. They acknowledged the pandemic had been the dominant factor for the independent school sector – as for all others – in the past year and praised the efforts to which independent schools have gone to support both their students and their local communities.
Kay Goldsworthy said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award, so soon after winning it in 2019. It proves that all the efforts of my team at St Ives to keep the children learning and happy during the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic, are being recognised and for that, we are extremely grateful.”
